As MCP education, this is better than most paid courses: the 'plugs, but for AI' framing is accurate, and Playwright + Zapier are exactly the two MCPs a beginner should meet first — both real, both free to install, both transformative. The wobble is the third pick: 'Claude makes the images, videos & ads' via Higgsfield overstates it (Claude directs; Higgsfield generates, on paid credits), and Higgsfield's creator program pays accounts for placements exactly like this one. Nothing else is for sale — the only gate is the follow.

What holds up

  • The MCP explanation is technically accurate — tools/plugins that let Claude act, not just answer
  • Playwright MCP: real, official, free — browser automation from Claude, works today
  • Zapier MCP: real, official — connects Claude to thousands of apps (Zapier claims ~8,000; '9,000' is a round-up)
  • Higgsfield MCP exists — but generation runs on Higgsfield's paid credits, not your Claude sub

What doesn't

  • 'Claude makes the images/videos/ads' — Claude orchestrates; the paid platform makes them
  • Higgsfield's creator-payment program makes every organic-looking Higgsfield rec worth discounting
  • No setup reality: MCP config still trips beginners (auth, config files) — 'plug it in' is smoother on the slide than the terminal

The catch

Two of the three picks are the right answer and cost nothing. The third is a paid platform wearing the same outfit. That's the pattern to learn from this deck: MCP lists are the new listicle ad unit, and one sponsored pick rides in with two legit ones.

How to actually do it

  • Playwright MCP: in Claude Code run claude mcp add playwright -- npx @playwright/mcp@latest — then ask Claude to open a page and click through it
  • Zapier MCP: mcp.zapier.com — generate your endpoint, add it to Claude, map your top 3 automations first
  • Skip Higgsfield until you have a paying use for AI video — then compare its credits against alternatives on cost per finished asset
  • One MCP at a time: each new server adds context overhead; three good ones beat ten idle ones
