The claimA free video series takes you "zero to your own Jarvis" in about ten minutes: one command, no coding knowledge ever, and you end up with an AI agent with a name and a memory that never forgets anything again.

One of the honest ones. The "AI Memory Vault" is a real, free, open-source system that turns an Obsidian vault of plain markdown files into persistent memory for Claude Code — a legitimate, widely replicated pattern (files on disk instead of a vector database). The repo is live (295 stars, v3.2, July 2026), the series is free, and there's no email gate. The overselling is at the edges: "never forgets anything again" really means "notes are saved to disk" — recall still depends on the agent reading the right notes, and the ten-minute install ignores real-world friction.

The catch

The funnel is real but soft: free vault → newsletter → coaching and done-for-you services. The giveaway is the ad — it just happens to be a good one. The line nobody reads is the license: CC BY-NC-SA means you can use it yourself for free, but you can't quietly resell it inside client work.

How to actually do it

Install Claude Code: in PowerShell run irm https://claude.ai/install.ps1 | iex — then add %USERPROFILE%\.local\bin to your user PATH and reopen the terminal
Install Obsidian (free, obsidian.md) and let it create a vault folder
Download ai-memory-vault.md from the ai-memory-vault repo on GitHub into your project folder
In that folder run claude and say: "Read ai-memory-vault.md and build my memory vault." It interviews you and generates CLAUDE.md, VAULT-INDEX.md, and the daily-note template
Keep CLAUDE.md in the project folder, the vault in Obsidian, and start every session from that folder so the agent boots with its memory
