The document is real. The directive is not. 'Winning the Race: America's AI Action Plan' exists (July 2025, ~90 federal actions) — we read all 28 pages. The ONLY small-business provision in it is a line telling Commerce/NTIA to 'convene stakeholders to help drive adoption of open-source and open-weight models by small and medium-sized businesses.' One convening, about open-weight models. No mandate, no program, no money pointed at Main Street installs — the plan literally names LARGE organizations as the adoption problem. His stats dissolve on contact: no survey anywhere says '92% have no AI strategy' (the likely source is Census data showing 8.8% of small firms USING AI — inverted and relabeled; the US Chamber has 40% of SMBs using gen AI). '3% of consultants offer implementation' has no source in existence. Credit where due: '36 million small businesses' is the current SBA count (36.2M, June 2025) — though ~27M of those are solo side-gigs, not shops with $2,500/mo to spend. The catch

Follow the money in both directions: you pay an undisclosed high-ticket fee to learn to charge a business $2,500/mo, a $6/hr stranger does the install, and he collects 40% recurring on the VA site he just taught you to need. The White House appears in this post for one job: making all of that feel inevitable.

How to actually do it

  • Before any 'the government just changed everything' post: pull the actual document. The plan is a free 28-page PDF on whitehouse.gov — the small-business section takes 30 seconds to not find
  • When a stat sounds load-bearing ('92%', '3%'), search it with the word 'survey'. If the only source is the post itself, it's decor
  • Check what the poster earns from the links: OnlineJobs.ph pays 40% recurring to affiliates — an embedded link card is a revenue channel, not a resource
  • The legit version: scope the business's actual bottleneck first, install and test personally, keep the data inside the business, document everything, train the owner, and price on delivered hours saved — not on a stat nobody can source

The honest version of this business exists. It's boring in the best way, and it can't be run from a beach.
